10 reasons to show up:

  1. The friends working out alongside you take the attention off of you when you’re “just not feeling it”
  2. You love the fact that you don’t have to think about what you’re going to do in your workout – you come to class and just follow directions
  3. The challenges of your occupation create a significant need for a safe place to “burn off steam”
  4. You still struggle to breathe after carrying groceries up a flight of stairs (and you want that to improve…significantly…)
  5. The lifestyle/fitness goal you wrote on the blackboard remains unmet
  6. You want to retain your youthful appearance well into your later years
  7. There is someone in your life (parent, child, sibling, friend, etc) to be present and functional for, for as long as humanly possible
  8. You want to be physically and neurologically ready to save the day in an emergency (climb a tree to save a cat, sweep a child out of the path of oncoming traffic, etc.)
  9. At least ONCE this year, you want to outdo that guy/girl who keeps passing you up in class, dang it!
  10. You wanna be “like Mike”

There are MANY more reasons to show up the first time and to keep showing up, these are just a few! What other reasons do you have that you’d like to share? Comment below!

Happy Monday!
